Job Title: Travel Welder
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced welder with expertise in aluminum welding. The successful candidate must demonstrate this experience and pass a weld test. The role involves welding and fabricating according to specific instructions, both in and out of position. MIG welding experience is required, and pulse arc experience is preferred. You will be expected to perform welding tasks in multiple positions.
Responsibilities
Perform welding and fabricating tasks on various structures, including the person
Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
Conduct welding in multiple positions as required
Utilize MIG welding techniques and demonstrate proficiency in pulse arc welding
Ensure high-quality welding and fabrication work according to project specifications
Essential Skills
Proven experience in aluminum welding
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Proficiency in MIG welding
Capability to pass fracture-tested weld tests
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in pulse arc welding
Knowledge of fitting and grinding processes
Familiarity with using tape measures and blueprint reading

Work Environment
Work in a large-scale manufacturing facility that produces structural steel and aluminum parts for government projects, including bridges, dams, nuclear sites, boats, and barges. Enjoy a clean shop environment working predominantly with aluminum. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots and safety glasses.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
