Job Description

VERT Environmental is looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Technical Report Writer to join our team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with field technicians and project coordinators to produce clear, accurate, and timely environmental reports by transforming field data, lab results, and inspection notes accurately and compliantly with applicable regulations. We're seeking someone with strong writing skills and a sharp eye for detail. A background in writing or a degree in English, Writing, or a related field is required. Prior report writing experience is a plus. including familiarity with environmental testing or other regulated technical documentation and experience following established templates and style guides is preferred. Experience:

- 2+ years of experience in report writing, data analysis, or journalism.
- Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Experience in a specific industry (healthcare, finance, legal, etc.).
- Experience working with structured templates and standard operating procedures.
- Familiarity with environmental, laboratory, or scientific data preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)and PDF editing software.
- Experience in a regulated industry (environmental, healthcare, engineering, legal, etc.)

Longevity:
2+ years in detail-heavy, deadline-driven roles involving writing or data interpretation.

Skill Set:
- Strong research and data analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or other reporting tools.
- Clear and structured writing style.
- Strong grammar, spelling, and formatting accuracy.
- Ability to interpret and present data effectively.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.

Other Important Areas:

- Experience creating visual reports and dashboards.
- Attention to detail and ability to summarize complex information.
- Ability to work under deadlines and deliver clear insights.
- Ability to learn and follow company-specific style guides, templates, and compliance standards.
- Experience communicating with cross-functional teams (project coordinators, technicians, QA reviewers).
