A K-12 school in Christiansburg, VA is seeking two skilled Sign Language Interpreters for the 2025/26 school year. These full-time contract positions offer an excellent opportunity to support students in an educational setting while showcasing your expertise in sign language interpretation.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4.0 EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score or RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) certification is required
• Proven experience interpreting in educational environments, preferably K-12
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and staff

Responsibilities:

• Provide clear and effective sign language interpretation to facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their teachers, peers, and school personnel
• Attend classroom sessions, meetings, and extracurricular activities as needed

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
