At Inductive Bio, were building a collaborative, AI-driven platform to make drug discovery faster and more efficient. Today, chemists spend countless hours piecing together data, experience, and intuition to design molecules that are safe and effective. This is an incredibly complex and time-consuming process, and ultimately patients are the ones left waiting. Our platform is already accelerating dozens of active discovery programs, and adoption is growing quickly. Backed by top biotech and tech investors, our team brings together world-class talent from both domains.
We are launching a large ARPA-H-funded project to develop state-of-the-art in silico models to predict drug toxicity, with the goal of reducing the need for animal testing in drug development. Inductive Bio will lead several academic and commercial organizations in a coordinated effort to generate novel data and leverage it to build next-generation predictive models.
As part of this effort, we are seeking a quantitative pharmacologist to lead the creation of mechanistic models for pharmacokinetics and organ toxicity. These models will be supported by the large-scale creation of novel human in-vitro data from complex organoid and microphysiology systems, and they will be combined with cutting-edge AI approaches to broaden their scope of applicability. Ultimately, these models will be integrated into our software platform and used for important toxicity prediction tasks across our biopharma partners.
What youll do:
Build novel PBPK and quantitative systems toxicity models leveraging large amounts of novel data to further the state-of-the-art in toxicity prediction.
Collaborate with ML Scientists to integrate AI approaches into mechanistic models.
Work across disciplines and institutions as part of a moonshot effort to reduce the need for animal testing in drug development.
Report on your results internally and externally in publications and presentations.
Work directly with Inductive Bios biopharma partners to incorporate mathematical models to improve decision making in their drug programs.
Who you are:
You have a Ph.D. in pharmacology, quantitative systems pharmacology, mathematical modeling, biophysics, or a related discipline.
You have a track record of publishing novel research on mechanistic models for disease biology, clinical outcomes, pharmacokinetics, and/or pharmacodynamics.
You have 3+ years of applying mathematical models to drug discovery.
You are pragmatic and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact program with a collaborative mindset.
Working at Inductive
At Inductive Bio, we know that the people on the team are what make us great. We offer competitive salary and equity-based compensation; comprehensive healthcare benefits (including dental and vision); and the opportunity to grow along with a rapidly scaling company. We are a passionate, kind, and mature team. Working at a fast growing startup is not always a 9-5 job, but we believe that our employees should have full lives beyond their career.
