Project Engineer

Position Overview
The Project Engineer will oversee and manage engineering tasks related to construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders and a strong focus on project delivery in the highway construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate project engineering activities related to highway construction.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including plans, specifications, and reports.
• Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, field personnel, and clients to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in concrete and highway construction projects.
• Proficiency in engineering software and project management tools.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, regulations, and safety standards.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of CALTRANS standards and practices is a plus.
• Experience with heavy civil projects and streetscape construction is preferred.
