Position Summary: The Mail Courier is responsible for sorting, transporting, and delivering interoffice mail and packages to designated locations within specified timeframes. This professional maintains accurate records of deliveries through handheld software, adhere to safety protocols, and provide excellent customer service. Additionally, they assist with other mailroom duties including postage and folding machine as needed.

Hours: (Part-Time) Monday 2:00PM - 5:00PM, Tuesday – Friday 12:30PM – 5:00PM

Essential Functions:

• Follow assigned delivery routes with precision while adhering to designated stops and timelines for efficient mail and package delivery.
• Flexibly adapt to covering additional routes when necessary.
• Responsible for ensuring the delivery vehicle is properly fueled and maintaining cleanliness through regular car washing.
• Operate postage machine and folder-inserter machine as needed.
• Assist and provide coverage for return mail and mailed out notices as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Responsible for security and protection of mail/interoffice correspondence, vehicle, and other assigned equipment.
• Be alert to deviations from policies and/procedure and make Supervisor and/or Security Department aware of suspicious activity.
• Maintain prescribed security controls to protect the area against unnecessary risk and/or exposure.
• Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training and follow internal processes and controls as required.
• Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
• Performs other job related duties or special projects as assigned.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous mailroom operations experience preferred.
• Valid Nebraska driver’s license with good driving record.

• Punctual and reliable, consistently reporting to work on time.

Working Environment:

Some sedentary work.

Heavy work lifting and/or carrying up to 70 pounds frequently.

Indoor/Outdoor work- may be exposed to outside elements and hazards.
