About the job Cost Accountant


Summary

Primary responsibility is control, coordination and maintenance of SRK-TN product cost, cost planning and fixed asset control. Responsibility also includes assisting Accounting/Finance management in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, budgets, audits and other projects as needed.

Duties Include But Not Limited To:

• Conduct BOM (Bill of Material) update and cost roll-up to include maintaining and setting up inventory parts, product structures, manufacturing routing process and compound structures.
• Monitor and Maintain Fiscal Business Plan balance against actual expenses / equipment and tooling investment / inventory / others and prepare report to Japan.
• Maintain customer owned tooling and vendor master records.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation calculations utilizing SAGE fixed asset software
• Participate in monthly closing, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare various management reports to assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements.
• Assist in audits by external and internal auditors
• Assist in quarterly consolidation reporting to Sumitomo Riko
• Execute special projects for the Cost Planning/ ERP system/AR department and other areas as necessary.

The minimum qualifications needed to perform the essential functions of the job such as education, competencies, experience, knowledge and skills. This should include any specialized knowledge and expertise applicable to the job.

• Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting with 1 to 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Fluent in Microsoft Excel and Word applications
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and procedures
• Possess a positive attitude and be self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Detail oriented, and possess good organizational skills
• Committed to team success through reliable attendance, accuracy and speed
• Able to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals
